The Vibe GT tested takes the look even further with more aggressive-looking front and rear fascias and racy alloy wheels with low-profile tires. With no options, that was also the final price. Vibes start at $16,735 (including destination) for the base model with a 1.8-liter engine. They also have enough room for a couple of friends to tag along plus room for their gear. It's a popular car because it has a sporty look that is appealing to young people who have recently entered the workforce. AWD models come only with the four-speed automatic. A five-speed manual is standard on the GT, but a five-speed automatic is optional. Move up the the 2.4L, GT or all-wheel-drive trim levels and you get a 2.4-liter, 158-horsepower four cylinder. A 1.8-liter four cylinder making 132 horsepower with a five-speed automatic transmission is standard while a four-speed automatic is optional. The powertrain choices are a little confusing.
